Today: It is officially ONE month until my 21st birthday, anndddd till my mom is in Australia with me! The countdown begins :) This definitely is starting to move really fast, time flies here! I feel like just yesterday it was my first day of classes. And now tomorrow, its already week 3! And knowing that in a month I get to see my mom, and then theres only 2 months left, wow.
Classes are going fine, but they are really different here compared to what I am used to back in Platteville. For each of your classes you have a tutorial, all of you are most likely thinking a study hall? Wrong, there is a lecture and a tutorial/practical for each course. In the tutorials you read readings or do group work or have class discussion, and soo far they're pretty boring. But, lets hope they get better! A couple of my classes seem really interesting though!
I am in the process of trying to get a job right now. I have been taking my time table and resume around to some cafe's close to or on campus. Hoping in the next few days someone will get back to me! Keep your fingers crossed for me :)
So I have decided how much I dislike relying on public transportation. At home, I don't think I have everrrr taken a public bus. And I am pretty sure i have probably spent half my time here waiting for a bus or on one haha. And there are sooo many international kids here, you have no idea. I meet more Americans than I do Aussie's, by far..
Here are some random pictures I have taken around Townsville since the last time I posted, enjoy! :)

Dad wants to know about this kissing point place.
ReplyDeleteHaha up behind the rock pool, theres a little trail that leads up a hill, where I took that picture from. The place is called kissing point. I'd heard about it and seen it on maps, but I think the cyclone messed it up or something because it it wasn't that exciting, but has a nice view :)
